Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia
Having discovered some very outdated film (Kodak Tri-X and T-Max with a 2002 expiration date) I decided to take my Leica M6 to Hollywood Cemetery and see what it looked like on "dead" film. This project is the result.
Hollywood Cemetery is a "garden" cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. Established in 1849, it is modeled after Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the first garden cemetery in the United States. The remains of two United States Presidents are interred here: John Tyler and James Monroe. It is also the burial place of hundreds of Confederate soldiers and several Confederate generals, including George Pickett and J.E.B. Stuart. For many generations, this has been the final resting place for members of Richmond's prominent families.
